HELLO SHAOLIN KEMPO ARTS FAMILIES! 

Join us for our Summer Beach class and Family BBQ! This is a fantastic event that we look forward to each and every year. 

 

We will have one big class at Powerhouse Park in Del Mar on Saturday, August 24th at 10:45 a.m.

All students should wear either full uniform or Kung Fu pants and Shaolin Kempo Arts T-shirt, or one of our Parkour or Ninja Camp shirts. This is a dojo sponsored event and we want you to sport your dojo pride! 

PLEASE NO BELTS OR SPARRING GEAR. 

Leave your gear bags at home.

 

Class is one hour in length and is for all ranks and ages. 

Parents and siblings are welcome to join in the fun.

 

We will start on the grassy area that overlooks our beautiful Pacific Ocean and then head down to the sand for forms, partner drills, etc in the surf. Bring a change of clothes for after, i.e. board shorts, bathing suit, beach attire. 

 

Family potluck BBQ begins at 11:45. If you plan to stay for lunch after class, please bring TWO ITEMS to contribute: One main dish of your choice that you and your family would enjoy and a side dish/desserts/drinks. We will have two large tables, two hot grills for burgers, hot dogs, sausages etc, a large white 10x10 tent and an oversized cooler for drinks and to keep all goods cold.

After an awesome Martial Arts class and hearty lunch, it's time to play! We will have a beach volleyball net set up. We encourage you to bring boogie boards, sand toys for our littles, surf boards, beach chairs, umbrella, towels, and sunscreen. 

 

Parking: Beach parking can be especially challenging in Del Mar and you don't want to miss out! Arrive early to find proper parking. There is a paid lot across the street, metered parking and free street parking in and around Del Mar. You can also unload in the loading zone adjacent to the grass and then go find parking.

 

Last but not least, there are NO PRIVATE LESSONS OR GROUP CLASSES AT THE DOJO that day. If you show up to the dojo, the doors will be locked and the lights will be out.
